3rd Anniversary

Fi and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary yesterday by heading down to Werribee open range zoo and got upclose and personal with some African wildlife. Had a ball.

Home........, back in Melbourne and back to work. Fi and I had a fantastic trip, we have thousands of photos to share, so give us a buzz some time and we can fill you in on all the funny stories.

Last days before heading home.

We this is probably my last post for a while. We are spending our last day at the pool and pool bar. The other day we went to a bunch of islands to the east of phuket, one you might recognise is the image at the top, it is Maya Bay, nice. Yesterday we went to the Similan islands, to the west of Phuket, some of my favorite snorkelling to date, the photo at the bottom was taken just before we jumped out of the boat. Ive never seen water that blue, and warm, and swarming with fish and coral. We saw Angel, Trumpet, Parrot and Banner fish, just to name a few as well as one lonely Marbled Sea Cucumber. Anyway. So tomorrow we get the night train back to Bangkok for our final night, which will probably entail trying to fit everything in our bags.... tight sqeeze. Crashing for the night and then flying out the next arvo, so we get home on Saturday arvo some time. Its been an adventure and a real test for Fi and I. Looking forward to seeing you all and as Pete says "Talking AT you all about our trip". HA HA.... only about 4,000 photos to share. See you all soon. XX

Phuket

Its a hard life i tell ya. We are staying on Patong Beach (Phuket) in the Deevana Resport Spa, 5 pools, 3 restaurants, pubs etc. Its a nice way to finish 3 months away, we have come full circle from Tahiti. We have eaten so much Pad Thai and Green Curry we think we might explode. We have definately added weight on this trip. We have a very difficult decision ahead of us, we need to decide between 3 day trips away, 1. James Bond Island, where they filmed 'Man with the golden gun', 2. Phi Phi island, where they filmed 'The Beach' and 3. The Similan Islands, 9 islands world renound for their coral, ocean life and snorkelling. Fortunately everything here is cheap so we might just go to all three. See if we run out of days from sitting by the pool and drinking cocktails. Anyway, home in a week. boo hoo.

Off to Phuket

Well Bangkok has been a strange place, but we have eaten probably too well and seen some pretty amazing stuff. Tonight we are getting on a night train down to Phuket, Patong Beach in fact which is apparantly near to 'the beach' from that movie with the same name. Anyway, Fi and I will no doubt be sitting in a bar on the beach and not thinking about going back to work in a week. boo hoo.

Tiger Temple Thailand

I dont think I need to explain how terrifying this experience was, we visited 5 tigers and handled all of them, 3 huge monsters, 1 adolecent and 1 cub (who bit Fi... HA HA HA... not many people can say they were bitten by a tiger). It was a fantastic experience one i certainly wont be forgetting. If you come to Thailand, you have to come here.

Bangkok is Crazy

Hey, its nice having internet access again. All is well, we are in Bangkok eating our way around from temple to temple, only seen one rat (alive) and 3 cockroaches, but otherwise the place is ok. HA HA. The temples are unbeliveable. Today we booked a couple of day trips and our 1st class night train down to Phuket. Having a laugh and trying not to die in the heat (basically hiding between 12 & 4). Other than a few misshaps we are enjoying ourselves and dreading the idea of coming home in 2 weeks. (no offence). We have about 3-4,000 photos to show you all when we do. So get ready for a slideshow extravaganza and a few funny stories. X

Time in France

Hey all, we had a great time in France visiting family, Fi even learnt some French, sort of.
We spent a couple of days in St Tropez and then 4 days up in the alps in Briancon, very cold, lots of snow and hot wine. Arrived in Bangkok yesterday, completely bizare to go from snow to 35 degrees. home in 2 weeks....... boo hoo.
