The gigs with Lyndon were fun, cozy venues and a few beers.... no complaints. And we got to play a Tears for Fears classic... HA HA...
I watched "Withnail & I" last night, I hadn't seen it since Napoli, I 'd almost forgotten how hysterical it is. It just goes to show that holidays are not always a good thing, unless you like fishing with a riffle. It certainly highlights all the 'pros' to alchoholism and insanity. Next time I'm out at the pub (and in a hurry) I will certainly be using the line "We'll have to work fast, bartender, a couple of quadruple whiskies and another pair of pints". Certainly one of the finer new additions to my DVD collection. I wouldn't however recommend the "Withnail & I drinking game", namely drinking what Withnail drinks when he drinks it... Roughly 9 ½ glasses of red wine, half a pint of cider, 1 shot of lighter fluid, 2 ½ shots of gin, 6 glasses of sherry, 13 glasses of whisky and half a pint of ale. Since the whisky alone would be more than enough to necessitate a trip to hospital for most people, few, if any, keep pace for the entire film.
Wow, so Friday night I went and saw 'Laura' (Caz, my Cellist's other band) at their album launch, great gig. Saturday Fi & I and Dave & Alita drove to Ocean Grove to see Tom and his holiday home down on the beach. It was an arvo spent sitting on the beach with a beer kickin' the footy around. It was after 3am we crashed out after all the girls became addicted to Poker. Beginners luck I say!. Sunday arvo we all drove back and I played the first of 2 gigs with Lyndon, it was a really relaxed Sunday evening gig, I think we were all pretty pooped from too much running around on the beach... and perhaps the booze too.

So Friday night I was lucky enough to finally see Katie Noonan after 6 years of trying. She is my favorite singer in the wooooorrrrlllldddd!!!!! and although she is almost 8 months pregaz, she still made it down to Melbourne for 2 shows. The show was stunning, just vocals, guitar and sax, down at Bennetts Lane . For those interested in listening to her, listen to "George" or "Elixir".

thanks to all who came to the gig last weekend, there were a few fresh faces there, a fun night all round. Matt was over from Japan for his birthday, hence the blurry photo of the 4 of us, i guess we were a little blurry too. See you in January Matt.
This will probably be our last gig before the new EP "Little Deaths" is released. Gigs after that will probably be at the Tennis Centre or bigger venues as our following with be HHUUGGEE !!!

Well for those who were a little confused as to why all the city streets were packed with masses of Zombies, Saturday was "the international day of the Zombie".... hmmm.... I thought it hysterical that on the same weekend Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens with (there somewhat unconventional song and appearance) "Hard Rock Hallelulia". I hoped the Ukraine would win, but thats just coz of her skirt and boots !....
So it's finally organised, I have got myself an appartment in Armadale, its a 10 min drive to work, 5 min drive to St kilda and Albert Park and 5 mins to our rehearsal studio. Perfect !

I just finished recording the second "fakes" ep. Its currently tentitively titled "little deaths" with the first single being released in June "were you listening?". We have also been approached by a U.S. distro label in Seattle who want to play us on all college radio over there.... Nice.
Got home last night after 3 nights in Adelaide, not that we spent too much time there, Friday night after an 8 hour drive we suffered the "no selling of alcohol" rule in SA on good friday... AAHHHH..... saturday we went out to my favorite vineyard in the world 'D'arenburg', we "tasted" everything and bought 7 bottles... nice... afterward was a few stupid photos and picnic in the vineyards... then a few drinks in town, sunday we were up in German town Hahndorf for a bunch of beers follwed by cocktails in town... and then the drive home on monday. Fun trip all round.
Fi and I are going to Adelaide in the morning for Easter, its an 8 hour drive, but we have the Mclaren Vale Wine region as a reward at the end. It's going to be a fight for the CD player I think, NO CURE !!!... Apparantly it will have been 1 year since i took her out for a "drink" the first time... so i guess this makes in an anniversary... hmmm.... anyway... D'Arenburg Wines here we come !

3 Bedroom house in Richmond, just around the corner from Swan Street, 20 min walk into city CBD. Pretzil, Tommy Guns and I have applied for this mansion !... Fingers crossed we get it. 2 Guitarists and a drummer..... god i can already imagine all the neighbors complaints !
