Wicked Portsmouth
Hey all. We are still in Portsmouth relaxing, we went up the Spiniker tower the other day with its glass bottom, nice view although a little concerning.
We also drove into London for the night to see the stage show of Wicked. It was brilliant, we had a great time.
Anyway, not much else to report, just laying low and relaxing. We are here for another week and half before heading to France. XX

From Brasil to England
Hi all, Rio was an amazing place, we had a ball, especially for Mardi Gras, it started about 8:30pm and finished about 5:30am, i have never in my life seen so many people in oneparade. We saw 6 Samba schools perform their parades, each taking about 1 hour with about 10-15,000 people in each, the band averaged about 500 people per parade. The had about 8 massive floats each also. We had perfect seats and it didnt rain. Afterwards we got home and got 3 hours sleep before flying to Sao Paulo and then London. Fi's friends Nicky & Steve picked us up and we are now in Portsmouth relaxing with their 2 girls Chelsea & Sophie. Having a fun time even though they are quite the handfull.
Funny note - our heater here is set to 20 degrees, which is the same temp our Air Conditioner was set to in Rio... HA HA.... ciao for now. We are here for 2 weeks and seeing "Wicked" this weekend. Will possibly be able to catch up with everyone in London some time next week, before heading to France for a week.

Rio De Janeiro
Well, we are finally here. In Rio for Carnival, we cant believe it, 2 years in the planning and it is now only days away till Mardi Gras. Rio is fun, the beaches are long and the weather is warm and dry. We had a few hotel problems as our hotel was changed without our knowledge, but we are closer to the beach which works for us. We havent been mugged.... yet... although im pretty sure the paranoia is overrated.
Yesterday we went up to Corcovado, it was covered in cloud but cleared whilst we were up there to reveal the entire city beneath us. Today we will be taking it easy on Copacobana or Ipanema beach before heading up the Sugar Loaf for sunset.
All is well and we are having a great time. We are also in the processing of piecing together carnival costumes for the parade on monday night.
Anyway, i have to go and look into Hang gliding...... HA HA HA !!!!
