Having the Craic

We all went over to Patrick's place, which bizzarely enough is about 5 mins walk from Matt and Takakos place. Small bloody world. We had a bunch of beers and talked shyte with his girlfriend Yuko and his cousin Fabian.

With a somewhat nasty hang over we met up with some of Matt's mates and wento the Soccer, it was the Fukuoka team playing against Sendal, we lost 2/1... or should i say 'they' lost.
Had a few beers over looking the river, seems we have been drinking for several days straight now..... rggghhhhh.
Ended up having food and more beers with some mates in a little resturaunt on the water front, which is built and taken down every evening. It's famous for its Raman noodles.
Later ended up back at Patrick's cousin's bar "Underground" and chatted to some time early this morning. My wallet is empty. Now i need to go find an ATM. Could be a challenge in Japan.

Sushi Train

Horse...... well at least its not Whale.

Beppu & Oita (day trip)

Beppu is the sister city to Rotorua (NZ), and is packed with hot springs and sulphur stench. We went from "hell" to "hell" trying not to be tourists.

We later ended up at a Karaoke bar in Oita. Matt pleasured our ears with his out of key rendition of Bon Jovi‘s "Living on a Prayer"... hmmm... I regretfully declined the embarassment.

Fukuoka, Japan

OK,so i cant sleep on planes. and its true what they say that you start hilusinating after 48 hours without sleep. Luckily I had Matt and Takako to take care of me. But 13 hours of flights plus St Patricks day, plus Matts bucks party, plus the Asahi brewery, plus a saki brewery, plus god knows what else, i am a wreck. 8 hours of sleep followed by soaking my naked as the day i was born arse in an outdoor public onsen in 6 degrees seemed to be the cure. no photos there sorry ladies.

Off to Japan

I fly out to Japan on Friday for 3 weeks. Very nervous, but very excited. I will be there for Matt's Bucks Party, Catch up with an old Irish mate Patrick (from Napoli) on St Patricks day (perfect). See Cherry Blossom season, Sumo, Geisha and a few other suprises I'm sure. I get back the day before easter but will then travel to Adelaide with Fi for our 2 year anniversary...... see you all on my return.

Recording with 'Sixteen Millimetre'

Spent all of last night recording 2 songs for the upcoming 16mm album, thats right folks, album, not EP. It was fun, but really puts you on your toes. But a few beers helped. The album should be out in a few months (in all good cd stores, and some crap ones).

Fakes road trip to Sydney.

We set out Friday morning about 10am with a 9 hour drive a head of us to Sydney, we had hired a big car for 5 of us, plus all our gear. Lucky I am the Tetris king!

After an exhausting drive the day before and not enough sleep we hit Bondi beach, tourist mecca, bikini heaven and regular Brit drowning.

Neither Fi or myself are beach people so we got friendly with the bar staff and spent the day 'people watching'. Later we set up at the venue. Friends arrived from Sydney, unfortunately missing the Sydney Mardi Gras to come see us, which was nice of them.

The gig was a success, followed by many beers, not enough sleep, and a 9 hour drive home on Sunday morning. It was a fun trip. Unfortunately I didnt make my first million, but I'm well on my way ! HA HA HA HA HA
